HOW IT STARTED
A small example of kindness became a lifelong mission.
Chief Mrs. Josephine Nkiruka Okafor's desire to help others began at a young age. She watched her mother share whatever little she had with people in need and learned that a person does not have to be wealthy to make a difference.
Following her parents' memorial last year, she organized a Children's Day celebration for children in her community. Seeing their smiles, excitement, and happiness made her realize how much one act of love and support can mean to a child.
“If we can bring joy to children for one day, what can we accomplish if we support them throughout the year?”
That question became the foundation of Uplifting Hope Charity Organization.
